Every autumn, nature puts on a brilliant show of color on Drummond Island. From bright yellows to vibrant reds, the leaves transform, showing their rich and intense hues. Every year, people flock here to take in the fall foliage, to catch a glimpse of nature’s splendor.
Now they come not only for the colors - they come for the Festival too!

The Taste of Drummond:
This year’s theme is Barbeque! Featured vendors will be Bayside Dining, Bear Track Restaurant, Chuck’s Place, Claudia’s Delectables, Deb’s Island Restaurant, Esther’s Catering, Gourmet Galley, Lumberjack Delights, Pins Bar & Grille, Sune’s Grocery and The Northwood.
We will be offering a selection of wines paired to compliment the dishes being offered at the Taste of Drummond. Wine selections will be made by an experienced sommelier.
Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery:
Scott Morton and family of Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery of Royal Oak will host the Brewery Beers booth at the Festival again in 2010. Lily’s will be located in the Big Tent and will feature microbrews named after Drummond Island and its outlying islands. http://www.lilysseafood.com
Live Music!
Drummond Island has its share of talented folk and these artists fall at the top of that list! Music for the weekend will be provided by: Bob Newell, Bill Shaul, Perry Swy & Lauren Deal - The Island Quartet; Cindy Launderville McElroy; LuAnn Corrion; Tim Van Alstine and Gary Van Alstine.
Oh, and don’t forget our Headliners - the Piano-Party Dueling Pianos and Karrie Anne & Lost Creek!

Drummond Island Resort - Spring Wine Dinner - May 30, 2010

Wine tasting dinner featuring 5 courses, with wine that has been selected to compliment each course. You will want to grab a few friends, as this event seems to be more enjoyable with the laughter of good friends at your table.
Cost is $70/person plus tax/gratuity

The Raber Area Sportsman Club will be hosting an ice fishing contest Saturday, March 13th starting at 6AM and ending Sunday, March 14th at high noon.
Registration will be available at Gibby’s Bar, Raber Bar and the trailer at Raber dock. All weigh-ins will be at the Raber dock.

For the President’s 3-Day holiday weekend enjoy Midwest International Racing Association (MIRA) Snowmobile Races. Races on both Saturday and Sunday on the ice of Potagannissing Bay, in front of Yacht Haven Marina.
One ticket entry gets you in for both days of racing excitement.
The Drummond Island Lions Club will be providing refreshments during both days of racing.

The dog sled races for this weekend have been canceled due to lack of snow.
Watch the 3, 5, and 7 dog teams start and finish just outside the Winter Sports Center entrance at the Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center.
Junior racers and the very young, will also be bringing their teams across the finish line.
Everyone is a winner here! Warm up in the 19th hole with coffee and hot chocolate.

I am sure you already guessed it - the Snowmobile Races scheduled for March 20th have been canceled! All the trophies were past out last weekend when there was still enough snow to go. Time to put the sleds away and start thinking about hunting morels!
