This year’s theme is Barbeque! Featured vendors will be Bayside Dining, Bear Track Restaurant, Chuck’s Place, Claudia’s Delectables, Deb’s Island Restaurant, Esther’s Catering, Gourmet Galley, Lumberjack Delights, Pins Bar & Grille, Sune’s Grocery and The Northwood.

We will be offering a selection of wines paired to compliment the dishes being offered at the Taste of Drummond. Wine selections will be made by an experienced sommelier.

Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery:
Scott Morton and family of Lily’s Seafood Grill & Brewery of Royal Oak will host the Brewery Beers booth at the Festival again in 2010. Lily’s will be located in the Big Tent and will feature microbrews named after Drummond Island and its outlying islands. http://www.lilysseafood.com

Live Music!

Island greens. Long tree-lined fairways. Dog-legs left . Dog-legs right. Abundant wildlife - deer that actually come into play on some holes. The people who love this course play to all levels. They like The Rock because it’s an experience, not just a round of golf.

This emerald was cut out of limestone and is trimmed by hardwood and cedar, crafting each fairway separately over 400 acres. Play on The Rock is controlled. Each group of golfers is in their own game, and virtually isolated from other golfers. Each hole has four tees and therefore, four possible challenges to choose from.

Drummond Island Ice Bridge - U.S. Customs and Border Protection Information
Travelers entering the U.S. from Canada via the ice bridge must report directly to the reporting station on Drummond Island during the established hours of 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday through Sunday. The Drummond Island reporting station is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The official CBP Reporting Station is located at the Drummond Island Yacht Haven Dock. Entering the U.S. via the ice bridge at any other location or outside of these hours is prohibited.

One of the truly unique features of Drummond Island snowmobiling is the International Ice Bridge To Canada. Sometime during the middle of winter, ice around Drummond Island hardens to a safe depth, and Christmas trees begin appearing at the big dock on the island. On a particular Saturday snowmobilers get together to create an ice highway — marked by Christmas trees and reflectors — that leads over the horizon to the nearest Canadian Island, St. Joseph Island.

Then the fun begins. Snowmobiles travel the ice safely, using the markers for night travel or in snowy weather to connect thousands of miles of trails in Ontario.

The “ice bridge” opens up a whole new geography of high granite outcroppings and hundreds of inland lakes and streams. The clearly marked and well used trail can either bring you to warm Canadian hospitality, or let you enjoy a day gliding among the hundreds of islands and bays of the North Channel. The ice bridge is a favorite local route, and if you ask anyone, they’ll be glad to share the secret.
