For those people who love to visit lighthouses, a tour of the DeTour Reef Lighthouse is indeed an outstanding experience.  It is rare that lighthouse lovers get to visit an offshore lighthouse let alone one that is not on an island but rather is built on a 60’ by 60’ crib sitting about one mile offshore in 24’ of water and is still an active aid to navigation.

In 2003 and 2004, $1.2 million was spent on restoring the DeTour Reef Light to its original 1931 condition, and, in your time spent here, you will get to see it all, and photograph it all, while walking in the footsteps of the original lighthouse keepers.  We hope you enjoy your tour as much we know we will enjoy taking you on this adventure.
